New Liverpool deal offerd by DIC
DIC have offerd Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks a power share deal which could be in the region of 49 per cent of the club.
The head of DIC buying Amanda Staveley has stated that the group is willing to accept an offer which would land them with a 49 per cent stakeholding in the Reds.

DIC were the only real contenders to buy then club in January but lost out to current American owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks but Liverpool fans have not been happy the way that the club is being run and would like DIC to takeover.

After mounting speculation and protests from fans it is now understood that Tom Hicks is willing to part with his share of the club, but co owner Gillett wants to keep his share.

Head of DIC buying Amanda Staveley said "Subject to renegotiation of a partnership agreement and subject to the usual stringent minority shareholder protection rights we would be prepared to accept a 49 per cent shareholding in Liverpool FC.

"We have decided that this arrangement provides the best possible solution to the situation and would be in the best interests of the club and their loyal fans."

This news will bring smiles to the face of some Liverpool fans who have voiced their concern at previous matches this season.
