It was only the 3rd minute of the Premiership encounter with Birmingham city when Eduardo was challenged by Birminghams Martyin Taylor in which an immediate red card was issued to the Blues man.
As soon as the challenge was made the Arsenal players immediately signalled to bench that there was something seriously wrong.
The game was then held up for nearly 10 minutes as medics treated Eduardo and the incident was deemed to be that serious that no replays of the challenge were shown on the big screen.
The challenge is being compared to the Alan Smith one against Liverpool in which he sufferd a similar injury.
Eduardo is definately going to miss the remainder of the season for the Gunners and could also miss this summers European championships wiht Croatia.
