Man Utd have eyed up a possible swoop for French aces Benzema and Ben Arfa ahead of their last 16 champions league clash.
With a 40 million price tag being laid on for the Lyon duo.
Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping to bring French aces Benzema and Ben Arfa to Manchester in a sensational 40 million pound swoop. Ferguson has spoken to Lyon chief Jean Aulas but the Frechman had different ideas.
“I spoke to Sir Alex. I told him that Benzema and Ben Arfa will not leave in the next two years. We want to build our future on them.
“If he wants to exchange Cristiano Ronaldo for Ben Arfa we could talk about it but they would have to also give us a bit of money.”
Interest has been mounting for the Lyon with pair with Arsenal and Chelsea also keeping tabs but it is Manchester United who seem to be the most serious about a deal with Ferguson seeing Ben Arfa as the long term replacemnt for Ryan Giggs.
